About Cynthia

Hello! Thank you for taking the first step to working on your needs or that of your relationship(s).

I have enjoyed working as a Social Worker in the mental health field since 1995, and have been privileged to have worked with amazing clients from all walks of life.

Wanting to fulfill my dream of having a home-based counselling practice, I returned to school, sought out additional training opportunities, and obtained my MA in Counselling Psychology.

Since 2018, I have been providing both in-person and online counselling to individuals, couples, and families.

My approach to counselling comes from a strengths perspective, in which I see the positive qualities clients possess and empower them to work through difficulties using their unique skills, talents, and resources.

Some of the therapeutic modalities I use are:

Emotionally-Focused Therapy

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

Compassion-Focused Therapy

Attachment-Based Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

I welcome all forms of cultural diversity and am an ally to the LGBTQ+ community.

Please note that in order to make counselling accessible, I have allocated limited spots in my practice to offer reduced rates to those experiencing financial difficulties.
